Hello gorgeous soul! I’m Dr Melissa Wright-Khan – please call me Mills! It’s a joy to meet you!
I know how it is to appear successful and happy on the outside but feel inadequate and unfulfilled on the inside.
I strived for success most of my life only to still feel inferior every time I reached my next level. From MA to PhD to Senior Lectureship, each new qualification and financial gain never fixed my self-doubt and so I continued on the eternal hamster wheel seeking validation from the outside to help me feel better on the inside.
All the while, I masked my pain with a smile and kept on pushing to meet my impossibly high standards to try to prove my value to myself and the world.

In 2012, I had a near-death bicycle accident which fragmented my whole being. I lost all sense of who I was, what I believed in and what my purpose was in life. And all my masks came off.
Eventually, I found a way to piece myself back together, literally one belief at a time. This involved a deep dive into the truth of who I was by leading from my heart and trusting my higher self. I slowly connected back with the ‘real me’ and began rebuild my true self from the inside out.
It was a profound and life changing experience. I remember the day I saw a pair of funky shoes and bought them as a symbol for me to reintroduce the belief that I was FUN again!
I also became meticulous about what I allowed myself to think, say and believe. Following the nudge to go deeper on my healing journey, I sold everything I owned and followed my heart on a one way ticket to India! From that point on, miracles started to happen and abundance in all its forms began to flow – not only did I become a successful serial entrepreneur within a few short years (as a coach, a hotelier and a property investor) but I was able to have a miracle baby after being told it would be impossible!
Leading from the heart and trusting your higher self is an ongoing process which creates a snowball effect of ever more miracles and abundance in life – how cool is that?! So whilst money isn’t everything, I feel super proud that during the first quarter of 2022 alone, I have already doubled my income from the total income of the previous six years in my business – pretty miraculous I would say!
We are currently upgrading our hotel in India from a 5 bed hotel to a 19 bed hotel alongside also buying new land to build our very own hotel! I could never have even dreamed these things would be possible for me before I found the way to work with my own energy and mindset and open up to this powerful, limitless space.

1. What is the time commitment for this program?
You will need to invest some time every day in this program to get the most out of it. On average, this would be around 15 minutes each day. The more time you can invest in yourself, the more likely you are to experience greater transformations. There are also of course the 2 x monthly calls, the accountability call and the videos /worksheets to complete in OWN MY LIGHT academy (the latter is optional but advised).
2. Why do I have to apply to join the program?
When you apply to join the program, we have a 20 minute CLARITY CALL to check that we are the right fit for each other and that the program suits your needs. It doesn’t serve you or me if you sign up for the program and it is not a right for you.
3. I’m a man, can I work with you?
Let’s have a 20 minute clarity chat and see if I can help you. I usually only work with women but sometimes make exceptions for my 1-1 program if it feels a good fit.
4.. When will the 1-1 calls take place?
The 1-1 calls will usually take place on Mondays between 10-3pm (UK time). There are occasional other slots in the week (before 5pm). I do not work evenings or weekends.
5. Are you qualified?
Yes I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach having trained with the highly esteemed Coaches Training Institute. I also have a PhD, an MA and a BA (Hons) in Linguistics/Human Communication. Alongside having my business since 2011, I am also a Senior Lecturer at a UK University and have been teaching and supporting students and staff at Universities across the UK for more than 20 years as an academic and a wellbeing lead. Should you wish to see any of my certificates, I can provide them on request.
